This vintage silk textile from southern Laos, known as tin sin once adorned the bottom of a traditional tube skirt worn by the women of Laos. An intricate silk motif in vibrant colors is woven over a hand spun cotton backing. The condition of this piece suggests that it is not particularly old- perhaps 15-20 years.
