The 40-watt LED light generates a 10-degree spot beam, which is capable of illuminating objects or targets at far distances. Compared to other spotlights that cut off vertically, this unit provides 310 degrees of vertical rotation and can be pointed directly upwards. The spotlight also offers 360 degrees of endless horizontal rotation. The light head can rotate continuously in one direction and does not need to stop and go back to the other direction, resulting in faster light placement and reaction. Repositioning the light head manually by hand does not damage the gears. Durability: This LED spotlight is protected by a CNC machined T6061 billet aluminum housing with a black anodized finish. The housing does not use cast aluminum or plastic and is designed to withstand rugged use or corrosive environments. Billet aluminum is stronger than cast aluminum, as it originates from one block of material which is fabricated using a CNC mill during the manufacturing process. The material is not melted down and molded to ensure precise design components. The internal components are brass, stainless steel and black oxide coated for durability and corrosion resistance. Internal gears are metal and not plastic. Internal and external hardware components are stainless steel, while the pivot shaft is 316 stainless steel. The base and light head are gasketed for protection. Electrical boards inside the system are resin potted for resistance to water. The RCL360-LED-2R is an IP66 rated assembly with an IP68 rated LED light head. This weatherproof light is suitable for use in outdoor and fresh water locations. Recommended for extreme environments, the system is ice and snow resistant. Rough handling or hard impacts will not damage the light head, gears or internal assembly parts. Applying more pressure on the joystick makes the light head move faster, and applying less pressure slows down the movement. Power: This light draws 5 amps maximum on 12V DC. Mounting: The RCL360-LED-2R features a removable rubber coated U-bracket mounting base. The rubber coating prevents scratching on the surface during installation, as well as provides a seal for routing wire.
